This country holds a special place in my heart that grows from year to year. My curiosity to explore more than just the few small surf towns and to venture into deeper reaches has taken a hold of my imagination. There is so much I don’t know, but I yearn to get to know it all on a more intimate level. These images do not these places justice. There is a richness in the culture, the smells of al pastor permeating the air, the feeling of times when I was a young barefoot girl exploring the world for the first time, and the sense of time seeming to suspend and slow to a crawl.
What can we learn from nature? Is a pickup truck more valuable because of its shine? How have we chosen what holds value and what does not?
